Our annual Sole Searching Shoe Drive for Sharing and Caring Hands sponsored by the Student Council is almost done! Students can bring in new or gently used shoes to their classrooms to donate through Monday. Donations will also be accepted at the Fish Fry!
Family Service Fair
April 22nd from 9-11am   
Please Join us for the OLG Family Service Fair in the OLG Gymnasium! Stop by to participate in fun, simple hands-on projects that inspire compassion and generosity!
  • Assemble snack bags for children experiencing illness and their families
  • Create toys for cats awaiting a new home
  • Pack hygiene kits for youth experiencing homelessness Decorate journals for children receiving counseling
  • Among other projects....
All students and their families are welcome!
2019 OLG School Carnival
Save the Date: April 26th, 5:30-8:30pm   
Please join us for the 31st annual OLG Carnival on Friday, April 26th. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. There will be games, food, candy, prizes (lots of prizes), a DJ, and even a special room for parents and alumni to get away and recharge with a chair massage.  Carnival wouldn't be possible without the support of our incredible sponsors. A huge THANK YOU to Great Clips, Lakes Sotheby's International Realty, Hornig Companies, DS Erickson & Assoc. PLLC, General Mills, IAN Advertising, Educational Outfitters, Armbrust Sales & Marketing, Lauren Campoli Defense, and Marty Chiropractic! Point Card Order Forms & Raffle Tickets will go home with students the week of April 15th.  All profits go directly back to the school and parish to support growing technology infrastructure needs. Are you a runner? Would you like to be a better runner? Or maybe you just want to improve your fitness level in a fun way with your friends! Whatever the reason, the OLG Running Club may be for you.
 
This club is open to all boys and girls at Our Lady of Grace School in grades 4 through 8. The group will meet Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30pm. Learn more and register using this form
Join SAC (School Advisory Council) 
Apply by Monday, April 15th 
The OLG School Advisory Council (SAC) applications are now being accepted. Any registered parishioner or parent of an OLG student, 18 years or older may apply. Appointed SAC members serve a 3-year term  beginning July 1. The SAC is a consultative body to Father Kevin Finnegan and Principal Maureen Trenary, and meets the first Tuesday evening of the month (September-June). In addition, SAC members participate on two of the following sub-committees that typically meet throughout the school year as needed: education, finance, policy, marketing, faith, technology, and one rotating ad-hoc committee (e.g. Transportation, Wellness, etc). 
-For the 2019-2020 school year, 3 new council members will be appointed. We are especially looking for members next year with skill sets and background that include, but not limited to: technology, faith, and education. 
-Applicants interested in being a considered for a possible appointment to the SAC can apply via email to Tom King (SAC Chair) at  teking79@gmail.com with a resume/personal profile and brief description why you feel called to serve on the SAC by  April 15th. Please consider getting involved with this valuable group and we are grateful for your interest and support.  We lead with YES!

PSO Social Fundraiser Success! 
THANK YOU to all who participated in the recent Stella and Dot and AirMaxx Fundraisers! This year we raised $9,261.02 for OLG School! Great work! This includes the social/shopping fundraisers, Artsonia and Amazon Smile! Thank you to Jenny Helmer for organizing the Social Events Fundraisers. Moms of Grace Service Project
Sunday, April 7th at 10:30am 
Have you wanted to participate in a meaningful service project with your family?  Have you been searching for a way to connect in a significant way with other families?  Please come to the Moms of Grace service project on Sunday, April 7 around 10:30am in Cassidy Hall (following 9:30am Mass). 

We will be organizing care packages to be distributed to women and children at Haven House, as well as men at St. Stephens. All family members are welcome - little ones can create cards to include in each package. Light snacks will be provided. Sign up HERE
Moms of Grace Meeting
Wednesday, April 10th at 10:00am
Do you want your child to pray and be close to God but do you find life pretty hectic right now? Hard to find time for your own prayer time let alone family prayer? We feel the same way! Join us on Wednesday, April 10 to learn some easy ways to pray with children and leave with a list of 101+ ideas for your home. Bring your prayer ideas too. We will also have materials to create your own set of Resurrection Eggs to help your child connect with the story of Jesus. Hope you can join us for this fun-filled morning! 
Too Many Plastic Containers?
Loaves and Fishes can put your extra plastic containers to a new use, sending home nutritious leftovers with the guests. Loaves and Fishes doesn't have a budget for to-go or take-away containers so they depend upon donations from people like us.  Bring your surplus containers to the office to Melissa Miller's attention.  Thanks so much!
Sign up your Middle School student for Extreme Faith Camp Now!
Mon-Friday, June 24-28,2019
Extreme Faith Camp is a week-long camp for students currently in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. It is a life-changing experience. We spend the week with teens from 8 other Catholic parishes throughout the Archdiocese and have a blast with a variety of fun activities and we encounter Christ through the power of the Sacraments, challenging talks, and small group sharing. OLG Sparkle & Shine Committee!
The OLG Sparkle and Shine Committee needs your help! We will be getting together to "spruce up" the church for Easter, after the school Mass on April 10th. Parents are welcome to stay and help as long as their schedules allow. Refreshments will be provided. We are hoping to have the Nursery available  for little ones. Rec League (4th Grade through 9th Grade)
Rec League plays in the evening with the season  starting late-April and ending early-July.  Evaluations are April 7 between 8am-noon
Registration for Rec League closes April 6th.
 
Day Ball (Kindergarten through 3rd Grade) &  Pioneer (3rd and 4th Grade) Both of these programs are weekday mornings for  3 weeks in June and 3 weeks in July and include an  evening baseball event at Courtney Fields to end the season.
Registration for Day & Pioneer closes May 15th.

If you are looking for an opportunity for your son to improve their basketball skills this summer, look no further than OLG. Will DeBerg is a former Edina and University of St. Thomas basketball player and currently a University of St. Thomas coach. He will be hosting basketball camps at OLG for boys grades 2 through 12 in the OLG gym in August. Register HERE
 
Macalester Basketball Camps:
The Macalester College men's basketball team will hold a Youth Basketball Camp this summer. There will be two sessions: June 17-21 and Aug. 5-9.
