Come join us on a digital adventure as we explore "Around Chicago in 30 Days."  Each week we will go on two to three virtual field trips around the Chicago area - these might include the Jelly Belly Factory, Favinia, Chicago Botanic Gardens, Wrigley Field, Lincoln Park Zoo, Willis Tower, Musuem of Science & Industry, etc.  After learning about each destination, we will complete a related project, from online painting to using the 3D printer and coding robots.  For more information, please contact Regina Aniolowski at  [email protected]   or at (847) 562-2100.

DON'T FORGET TO ENCOURAGE OUR EARLY MORNING MEDITATION  


Elementary and junior high students arriving at Cove before 8:30 AM are invited to participate  in Early Morning Drop-In Meditation. JOIN THE JUNIOR HIGH WALKING CLUB  


Junior high students arriving at Cove before 8:30 AM are invited to participate  in the Walking Club. This alternative to before-school outdoor recess encourages students to  walk laps around the Junior High/Elementary hallway and socialize all while getting active before the school day starts.  For more information, please contact Regina Aniolowski at [email protected]
CPS STUDENTS' HEARING AND VISION TESTING
Monday, April 8

SAT, PSAT 10TH GRADE AND PSAT 8TH & 9TH GRADE
Tuesday, April 9 to Tuesday, April 23

Test administration will occur between April 9-23 at Cove. Juniors are receiving test prep lessons three times per week during Advisory in Reading, Writing and Math.  Freshmen and Sophomores will also have test prep lessons in their Advisory classes once per week.  All accommodations have been approved by College Board; For questions, contact Vivian Drexler at  [email protected] .

PARENT EDUCATION EVENT

WHIRLYBALL HIGH SCHOOL SOCIAL EVENT

All High School students are invited to play WhirlyBall and Laser Tag at WhirlyBall in Vernon Hills after school. Pick up on site at 4:20 PM or at Cove at 5:00 PM. HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER GAMES

Cove's High School Soccer Team will play games at 4:30 PM against Vernon Hills and 6:00 PM against NWSRA at 6:00 PM at Cove. A light snack will be provided beforehand. Cove's High School Soccer Team will play in the regional qualifying tournament at Harlem High School, 1 Huskie Cir, Machesney Park, IL 61115. The tournament begins at 9:00 AM. TWENTY-ONE SENSES SURVEY 
One of our Cove families is gearing up to start a new resource for sensory-sensitive kids. They're currently in the market research stage and have offered to donate $1 to Cove for each survey filled out by our families at TwentyOneSenses.org/Cove. SPECIAL GIFTS THEATRE PROGRAMS 

Students are invited to participate in the programs put on by Special Gifts Theatre, an education and therapeutic theatre organization with locations in Winnetka, Chicago, Palatine and Libertyville for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ranging in age from 10 years and older.
