Kathie Grabert, Anne Lowrance announce retirement plans
Thank you to two faithful educators
Kathie Grabert, director of Covenant Preschool, and Anne Lowrance, director of Covenant's children's ministry, have announced their plans to retire this summer.

Under Kathie's leadership, the Preschool consistently earns sterling reviews from parents who place their children in our church's care. For 15 years, including the last 12 as director,  Kathie has been an ambassador for Covenant, welcoming families from the Dilworth neighborhood and all of Charlotte. Kathie's last day is June 30.

"I will forever hold in my heart the special relationships formed with the church, the talented teachers and staff, and the families," said Kathie, a 30-year educator. "Most of all, I will cherish my memories of the children, from the new babies to the kindergartners who return for a visit."

Anne has served the Presbyterian Church faithfully and well in ministry for 40 years, the last nine being here at Covenant.

With her warmth, patience and unwavering love for children, Anne has been an abiding presence in the journeys of Covenant families - often from the moment they enter the Education Wing.  Anne's last day is Aug. 31.

"I will treasure the memories and relationships I have formed with colleagues and congregants alike," Anne said. "It has been a particular joy to lead a ministry specific to children. I pray that, together, we have sewn good seeds of faith."

More details about celebrations for Kathie and Anne are soon to come. In the meantime, please join us in giving thanks for the ministries of these two outstanding educators.
