FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2019

The first day of the new school year in 2019 will be on Friday, August 16th. This will be a half day of school!
SJS BOOK FAIR
Mrs. Schreiber is partnering up with Joseph Beth Booksellers to host the 2019 SJS Book Fair. The fair will take place April 8-12. 20% of the sales goes directly back to the library to purchase new books for our readers! Please see the attached flyer for more information on this exciting upcoming event! 

TUITION RATES FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

The Parish Finance Committee has set the tuition for the 2019-2020 school year which will reflect a 4% increase to assist with school expenses. A link to the 2019-2020 Tuition Rate sheet is below as well as the FACTS tuition payment information.

The Facts link below provides Tuition Payment Plan options and information regarding financial Assistance (Grant & Aid Assistance) for families as they enroll or re-enroll. Note: Returning families will need to verify their financial information and, in particular, credit card expiration dates.  The last day to enroll in the FACTS payment plan is May 20, 2019. 


Regarding Financial Assistance, the fee for the application has gone up from $30 to $35.  The deadline for financial assistance applications is April 10, 2019.


Families have until April 15, 2019 to withdraw their student for the 2019-2020 school year with a full refund of Registration Fees (10 days from the date tuition is set).  

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
SIGN UPS
It's that time of year again! Any girl currently in grades 2 though 7 that is interested in signing up for Girls Volleyball may do so! Leagues begin the first week of school next year. Information can be found under the "Volleyball" tab on the SJSAAA website.
Sign ups are through the school website and Blue Sombrero though the link below: Registration fee is $75 and is open until April 15th. Registration after that date may be subject to a $25 late fee. If you have any questions, please email Heather Jansen at: bjansen@fuse.net.

SJS UNIFORM SHORTS

As of April 1st, students are permitted to wear their SJS uniform shorts and gym shorts to school. Spring is here!
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

With the school year winding down, lets have a friendly competition of "Who Rules the School - boys vs girls." Please send in Box Tops by May 17th to see who wins! Get your whole family involved! Have your grandma, aunt, neighbors or co-workers collect for your child! Attached is a list of participating products and a new collection sheet. Happy Clipping!


COINS FOR A CAUSE

Please join Student Council April 1st thru April 12th collecting coins to support Mary Rose Mission. Each grade level will be competing against one another to see who can raise the most money as part of our Lenten alms giving. Bring in your daily donations of penny coins to your grade level bucket (positive money) and silver coins to other grade level buckets (negative money) the grade level with the greatest positive number on April 12th is our winner. Have fun and help others at the same time!

We have a few extra yearbooks available for $15. The due date to purchase one is April 12. This is first come, first serve basis.

I f you or your child are dealing with stress, worry/anxiety, or other intense feelings, take the time to look at this to learn ways to help yourself or your child. Learning how to cope is a valuable tool for kids and adults alike! 

SOLES FOR SOULS

Student Council members are asking that we please help our friends at CCH by collecting new and gently used pairs of shoes for the Aubrey Rose Foundation "Soles for Souls" shoe drive collection. We will collect shoes here at SJS and our friends will do the rest. We will accept donations April 1st thru April 9th.

The SJS Book Fair is back!
All students will have the opportunity to go to the Book Fair next week. Please be sure to remind grandparents that they can stop by the Book Fair on Wednesday when they are here.

VACATION BIBLE CAMP

Vacation Bible Camp will be held June 17-21. Registration forms are attached. Adult and teen volunteers are needed. Volunteers should fill out the bottom portion of the registration form.
CHRISTIAN OUTREACH COMMITTEE

The Christian Outreach Committee meets tonight at
7 pm in the Library. If you are unable to attend and would like more information, please contact Kristin Siegel at  KSiegel1015@gmail.com .

COV CATH GRADE SCHOOL FOOTBALL
SIGN UPS

Sign up for Cov Cath’s Colonels Youth Football (CYF) for 3rd through 8th grade now through April 30. CYF practices and plays home games on the Cov Cath fields. All teams play in the GCYL (Greater Catholic Youth League) with the parish schools feeding Elder, Moeller, Roger Bacon and LaSalle. To register on-line or to get more information, see our website at  www.covcath.org , click on Athletics, click on Colonels Youth Football or email Bob Morris, CYF President, at bmorris@covcath.org
