BE AWARE: Recent Uptick in Phishing Scams

We wanted to let you know that recently there has been an uptick in phishing scams on both a local and national level. Phishing emails appear at first glance to be sent from a trusted person but have actually been sent from a fraudulent account. If you receive an email from someone or regarding something at TBC that feels "off" in any way, please confirm that the email was sent from a trusted person by calling the TBC office and/or checking the sender's email address itself (not just the name that appears in your inbox). If you have any doubts, please call us directly 203-544-8695.
Membership Package
In order for the Temple to be prepared for Religious School and High Holy Days, we ask you to return all forms and fees no later than July 31, 2019.

This year, we will join with communities throughout the country to mark the holy day of Tisha B'av by educating and mobilizing our community so that we can effectively work to stop the inhumane treatment that immigrants and refugees are facing throughout our country.  Don't forget to bring something for the pot-luck brunch.

Midrashic Monologues

Follow Rabbi Rachel Bearman and Rabbi Paul Kipnes as they restore the voices of biblical women and men who have not been given the opportunity to speak.

We meet the daughters of Zelophechad again in this week's Torah Portion, Pinchas, and watch as they convince Moses and God to overturn the prohibition against daughters' inheriting land. We are fascinated by these courageous women and wanted to explore what experiences could have shaped them into the remarkable people we meet in our parashah. In this Midrashic Monologue, we focus on Tirzah, the youngest of Zelophechad's five daughters, and listen as she recounts what she and her sisters experienced when the plague of darkness engulfed Egypt in the time when God and Pharaoh battled to determine the fate of the ... more
