Arizona's school districts are working on contingency plans for possible teacher walk-outs approved by members of Arizona Educators United #RedForEd and the Arizona Education Association. The walk-outs are scheduled to begin Thursday, April 26 to protest low funding for education in Arizona.
We are working closely with our member districts and will continuously monitor events to determine if any work stoppages will affect our leased-land campuses located on high school sites. While the majority of our member districts have stated that they do not support a work stoppage, some have informed us that they may close schools if they do not have enough staff to ensure student safety.
In the event we need to adjust our JTED class schedules due to events beyond our control, we will use all modes of communication to alert families to these changes including our parent alert system, emails, phone calls, our website, and social media. We encourage you to monitor our sites for the latest news regarding JTED programs.
