In doing our part to help the community at-large, ACA staff is participating in a clothing drive on behalf of The National Center for
Children and Families (NCCF). Please bring new and gently used seasonal clothing for men, women and children in need to the ACA office
until June 1. The NCCF has the greatest need for new socks and underwear for children.
If you prefer to make a donation by check, please make your check payable to "NCCF" and drop it off to the ACA office before June 1. Your donation will go directly to the 44,000 children, youth and families the NCCF serves each year in the Washington Metropolitan area, including Montgomery County.
For more information about the NCCF, please visit
www.nccf-cares.org.

Have you ever thought about volunteering in your community? Now
would be a good time, as Avenel Community Association could
use
some volunteers on the Ad Hoc Social Committee. The Social
Committee has done a great job over the past few years organizing community
events like the Pool Opening Social, Ice Cream Social, Wine & Cheese Holiday Party and many others.
If you would like to become involved and help keep these events going, or if you would like more information on the Social Committee, please contact the Association at [email protected]. Your community can be as great as you make it!

In accordance with Montgomery County Code, temporary political/candidate signs can be displayed 30 days before an election and up to seven days afterward. Signs should not be posted or displayed on doors or in the windows of homes. For more information, please contact the ACA offices.
|
One of our residents has recently received notice of an overpayment of past payments billed, resulting in a credit of over $2,000. The Association is not responsible for residents' WSSC bills, but as a courtesy, we are inquiring on behalf of the resident to see if anyone has had a similar experience of high billing. If so, please contact the Association at [email protected].

As residents plan for spring and summer projects, please remember to submit your
Modification applications for review. Any exterior change to your home or property requires an application submission and approval by the Modifications Committee. Whether you are installing a fence, painting your shutters, or removing a tree, please remember that an application is required and must be approved before work can begin.
Applicants have six months from the approval date to commence work, and the project must be completed within one year from commencement. The application form may be downloaded from the ACA website (
click here) or picked up at the ACA office.
