Marquette Catholic High School is proud to congratulate senior Leslie Reyes on earning the Michigan City Exchange Club's Youth of the Year.

Reyes was honored alongside Michigan City High School senior Jenna Stevenson this past week at the club's meeting. Reyes received a $400 scholarship check and a plaque after the Michigan City native delivered her essay on socially responsible communities.

Reyes boasts a 4.22 grade-point average and will graduate with summa cum laude honors next month. She plans on attending Roosevelt University in the fall.

This scholarship is one of many awarded to the senior. Reyes stays highly active at Marquette. She leads student government, is a National Honor Society member, represented the Lady Blazers on the soccer field, and attended Hoosier Girls State.
