Coastal Day at Louisiana Legislature Set for April 22
This annual event brings together stakeholders in Baton Rouge to talk all things coastal!

Several coastal organizations are once again planning Coastal Day at the Louisiana Legislature, which will include an informative, and even fun, agenda.

Led by Coast Builder's Coalition, the day will include a panel on creating partnerships; remarks from Governor John Bel Edwards and coastal legislators; information and discussion at the Capitol with legislators; an industry update by CPRA; tours of the LSU Center for River Studies and the lower Mississippi River physcial model; and a reception to cap off the day.  Discussions will include, but will not be limited to, this year's $700 million plus coastal annual plan, dedication of surplus dollars to coastal projects and much more.

For more details on times and locations, check our web page ... be sure to pencil in that date in your calendar because we hope to see you in Baton Rouge!
ROR to co-host Conservation on Tap event
Join us for this opportunity to talk about coastal restoration with sportsmen and women

ROR and Vanishing Paradise are partnering to bring " Conservation on  Tap" to the Bayou Region!

This  Conservation  on  Tap  event to be held on April 11 from 5:30-7:30pm at Spigots Brew Pub in Houma, will focus on gathering sportsmen and women in Terrebonne and Lafourche to discuss current conservation and coastal  restoration efforts in the area.

Our partner, Vanishing Paradise, is a program launched in 2009 by the National Wildlife Federation and Ducks Unlimited to advocate for restoration of the Mississippi River Delta among sportsmen and women across the country. They work with businesses, organizations and individuals nationwide to restore Louisiana's waterfowl and fishing habitat by reconnecting the Mississippi River with its wetlands.

Representative Jerome "Zee" Zeringue will be a guest speaker, as well as representatives from CPRA to discuss recent and upcoming barrier islands restoration projects.

The event this free, open to the public, and will offer drinks, bites, networking, and coastal chats! To RSVP to the event, please follow this link
