DRAGON TALES
4/4/19
Dear St. George Families,
During our Lenten journey, we celebrate saying goodbye to our old selves in order to make room for the new person fashioned in Christ. We need to commit to doing what's right, to go forth and help others, not just during Lent, but always. And the Bible tells us, "Even now, says the Lord, return to me with your whole heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning; rend your hearts, not your garments and return to the Lord, your God" - Joel 2:12-18. When we look at these examples of commitment, one can see that when we promise to do something or give up something, it involves a journey as well as actions. We are, after all, the feet and hands of Christ. God is counting on our feet and hands to actively participate in a journey that brings us closer to Him, as well as bringing others closer to Him. Remember WWJD? What would Jesus do? He wants us to take that next step and say goodbye to our old ways, commit to doing what's right and return to the Lord.
God Bless,
Jack Nelson
