On April 11, MELT (Middle Extended Day Learning Time) students from Tipler/ALPS and Merrill Middle Schools cleaned up Menominee Park in Oshkosh as part of their service project. They picked up 864 cigarette butts in less than an hour! Hopefully this will be one of our last cigarette butt cleanups with the new tobacco-free parks rule in Oshkosh. Thanks to the students for being part of the next tobacco-free generation!
T
wo Rivers High School FACT students completed the Post-It FACTivism and educated their peers about tobacco and how it has harmed people they care about.
Two River High School FACT students went to L.B. Clarke Middle School to present about FACT in April! The students also talked about JUULs and many of the teachers were alarmed at how many of the students knew someone who uses JUUL.
