What's New This Week
Bible Study for June - 2 Corinthians
Our focus during June will be the Second Letter to the Corinthians, which we will also be reading as part of our Sunday lectionary. A schedule of readings with reflections is posted on our website, and our Wednesday evening Bible Study continue on the 4 Wednesdays in June at 7:30 pm.
Paul’s second Letter to the Christians in Corinth is an extended meditation on the meaning of apostolic ministry. Written about a year after his first letter, it represents Paul’s attempts at reconciliation after the conflicts that occurred during his ministry in Corinth; in doing so, Paul eloquently presents a vision of ministry that is profoundly meaningful for today as we renew and redefine our own desire to understand God’s purpose for us – as individuals and as a community.
- Week One [ June 4-8] 1:1- 3:6: Introduction: Paul and his ministry
- Week Two [June 11-15] 3:7 – 7:4: Paul explains the nature of his ministry
- Week Three [June 18-22] 7:5-9:15: Paul’s appeal for the collection for Jerusalem:
- Week Four [June 25-29] 10:1--13:13: Paul describes his plans for ministry

Our J2A group is collecting school supplies for students on the island of Barbuda, which is still recovering from last year’s hurricanes.
Please deposit school supplies in the box located at the back of the church. If you need supply ideas, please see the lists on the Sunday School bulletin board in the parish hall, but know that all supplies are welcome and needed! Thanks in advance for helping our group support the youth of Barbuda.

Lifting up Westchester
Brighter Futures Summer Camp

LAST CALL!
Today is the very last opportunity we have as a parish to provide swimsuits for the children attending the Lifting Up Westchester Summer Camp. As of June 17th, we have furnished 23 swimsuits. Last year, we furnished 71 swimsuits. By having a swimsuit, children have the opportunity to have pool fun but more seriously, either learn how to swim or build better swimming abilities. More importantly, they learn a critical lifesaving skill. Won't you be so generous? Please donate either cash, check (made out to Lifting Up Westchester), or gift card (Walmart/Target). All donations will be submitted to Lifting Up Westchester on Monday, June 25th. Collection will be in the Parish Hall, 8:45-9:45AM and after the 10 AM service. Thanks for very much for continuing to support a mission which has its roots at Grace Church. Please contact Linda Gallo (
ldg052@aol.com
) or speak with her.

Report from the Search Committee
The Search Committee has completed its period of “receiving names”, and now is moving to evaluating and interviewing candidates. This may take some time depending on Diocesan review and candidate availability, and it will be followed by site visits where applicable. The Committee will not be able to comment during this process, which we expect to conclude with the recommendation of three candidates to the Vestry. We ask your prayers for success.
The Parish Profile is posted on our website. To read it

Almighty God, giver of every good gift, look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a rector for this parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Diocesan Summer
Youth Conference:
"Love Thy Neighbor"
Sunday-Saturday, August 19-25
Incarnation Center
Ivoryton, Connecticut
Summer Youth Conference is a week-long event for the young people of the diocese. It is a combination of many things; part retreat, part camp, and part convention. It is a chance for the youth of the diocese to escape the pressures of the outside world, to meet people their own age, discuss topics relevant to their lives, define their own personal spirituality, and have fun - all at the same time!
The Summer Youth Conference is open to all people finishing grade 6-12 who would like to experience a week of spiritual growth and Christian fellowship.
