The 3w Logo |
|
Our logo has three worlds with Europe and the Middle East visible. The three colors represent the three worlds of Eastern Europe, Western Europe and the Middle East. They also represent how we divide our three areas of ministry. Most importantly, they represent the three worlds of Christianity: Traditional, Post-Christendom, and Non-Western. Visit our website www.three-worlds.com to learn more about "the Three Worlds of Christianity."

Global Strategy Team Comes to Germany
This January we were very pleased to host our regional coordinator colleagues and Global Strategy bosses at our home in the Black Forest. Each year we gather for meetings where the various regional coordinators from the different continents can share, strategize, and dialogue with our leadership.
We were happy to have Don and Carolyn Armstrong (Asia-Pacific), Jason and Abby Torgeson (Latin America), and Mike and Heather Webb (Africa) with us. We were also joined by Maddy Webb and Josiah Torgeson. The meetings were led by Global Strategy Director Andrew Gale and Associate Director Stephen Lewis.
Our missions efforts continue to get more strategic and integrated. It is exciting to see how Global Strategy is rooted in empowering local leaders and churches. We are very proud of our colleagues and enjoy these times with them.

Generations Together
T
his February, we were very happy to welcome Pastor P.J. Towle to England to help Zach and Audrey Langford (3W-Liverpool) and the Egan Road Church of God launch their new monthly Sunday night dinner event. P.J., who also is the lead singer of the band All the Astronauts, played at this inaugural event, which had a great turn-out of non-churched folks from the community. It was also a multi-generationally attended event, which was great to see. This also coincided with our annual advisory board meeting. Pastor Joshua Brandt (The Gathering), Mike Stetzel (County Line Church of God), and Paul and Marian Strozier (Madison Park Church of God) make up that board along with Lil Fox (Egan Road), Patrick, and the Langfords.
Marco, Jamie, and Patrick were also able to visit the Egan Road Church of God in February. We enjoyed a special tea time with senior members of the congregation and time with the younger generations as well. Egan Road Church of God is doing a fantastic job of balancing the generational challenges in a traditional church and reaching out to a post-religious community. The Langfords are looking for ministry support to continue this important ministry. If you or your church are able to contribute, we encourage you to contact Global Strategy or go here.

3WLN 4.0 Planning
Our Three Worlds Leadership Network (3WLN) leadership team assembled in Paris in February to begin planning our next 3WLN Conference. It takes a year of planning and preparation to put on this event, which is growing every time we do it.
The team includes Samir Salibi (Paris @home), Laszlo Debreceni (The Nest/Budapest), and Sarina Hennig (Hannover CHOG). 3W team members Christy Kihm (3W-Budapest), Audrey Langford (3W-Liverpool), and Patrick really enjoy working with these leaders, and the group has great chemistry. Together we decide themes, choose speakers, seminar offerings, and many other logistical pieces. We were also able to attend the Sunday @home service with Samir and see two new Christians baptized!(photo above) Muslims continue to find the Lord through this unique ministry in Paris. The next event, 3WLN 4.0, will be held April 27-May 1, 2020, in Interlaken, Switzerland.

MARCO'S WORLD
Marco is more than half-way through his sophomore year of high school! We can hardly believe it. It continues to go way too fast. We remain a very close family and greatly enjoy doing things together, having deep conversations, playing games, watching shows and traveling together. It is really great to be able to preserve the fun and close relationship we had with him at earlier ages. He is a wonderful, conscientious, and very thoughtful teenager.
Marco greatly enjoys reading and especially enjoys books about political science (like Machiavelli's The Prince, Sun Tzu's A
rt of
War and dabbles in Henry Kissinger's Diplomacy.) He also enjoys the Game of Thrones books and books on Norwegian mythology. He is well-known at school for being full of a wide-array of facts on history, politics, and international issues. We are very proud of his intellectual curiosity, but we are even more proud of his heart and character.
