Have you received a call or voicemail from someone warning that your Social Security number or benefits are suspended due to suspicious activity?

Social Security scams now outnumber other types of scams, including IRS scams, which were formerly the most common.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has worked with the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to create a new fraud prevention placemat to help you avoid Social Security scams.

You can order free copies of the placemat to use at a meal site, or to share with your friends and family. Stay vigilant against these scams!

What was the most unusual and/or interesting job you've ever had? –  "I worked at a sushi/hibachi restaurant with 4 friends and a Japanese family."
