Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extra curricular activities. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple causes an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well. Disney's High School Musical JR. is a great way to involve your school's student athletes. Walking Tours of Historic Dover
Now through Labor Day Weekend
The Dover Chamber is once again offering walking tours of historic Dover on Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Three different 90 minute walking tours will be offered throughout the summer, and take place from one of three Dover locations as specified on the tour schedule.
The next Downtown Tour will be held on
Saturday, June 23rd
at 10:30 a.m. beginning at Pine Hill Cemetery, located at 131 Central Avenue. The Cemetery Tour includes a history of Dover's burial grounds, and anecdotal stories as you visit the graves of people who were part of Dover's history.
Reservations are recommended, and can be made by calling 603-742-2218 or email [email protected]. Walking Tours cost $10 per person with $25 limit for families. More information can be found at www.dovernh.org/tours.

Page Turner: An Event for Readers of All Ages

This event will change the dynamic between writer and author - as some sixteen of the Seacoast's well-known authors gather together for an afternoon of discussion, book signings, readings, and a chance for readers and writers to interact with each other. There will also be a raffle of a number of poster-size book covers.
Following this event Shane Morin will be offer a writing workshop from
6 - 7 PM.
Shane is an active poet and community organizer in the Seacoast Area. Writing workshops are perfect opportunities for writers of any level to share experiences, and to get advice from those who have already trod the roads others see only on maps.

Gatsby Garden Party at the Wentworth House

Nearly a century ago in the 1920s, Rollinsford's historic Colonel Paul Wentworth House hosted formal garden parties, concerts, and teas. On
Sunday, June 24
the Roaring 20s will return with a Gatsby Garden Party from
11 am to 4 pm.
Pack a picnic if you wish, don some Jazz Age attire (encouraged but not required) and toddle over to the Wentworth House for an afternoon of 1920s-style diversions. Outside, guests can play croquet, horseshoes, and badminton on the lawn or simply stroll in the garden. Indoors, guests can explore the house, view an exhibit of local artifacts from the 1920s, and enjoy films from the era, complete with popcorn. Light refreshments will be served. This event is hosted by the Association for Rollinsford Culture and History (ARCH), which maintains the Wentworth House. At

6th Annual Trick or Trot 5K & Kids Fun Run

A fundraiser for the DMS PTA, the race will begin at Shaws Lane, in Dover, New Hampshire at
8:15am with the Kids Fun Run; all children in costume will receive a spooky treat. At
9:00am, the 5K race will begin; medals and cash prices for the top three male and female finishers will be awarded.
Proceeds from the event will be used to enhance the DMS student experience by funding field trips, equipment and supplies for the Nurse's office, Library, and Wellness departments. In addition, funds raised will support materials for all classrooms, recess supplies, and special programs like the anti-bullying program, Safe Kids Strong Teens and other activities that benefit DMS students.
