Still, We Rise and Give THANKS
|
|
Still, We Rise and Give THANKS in
the midst of our present circumstance
and situation.
If we are still living and in our cogent
mind to read this, we have something
for which to be thankful.
Do whatever we must do to keep it together, to stay focused and balanced.
We do these by keeping the Faith, and knowing Who we are, and Whose we are.
Whether we have turkey on Thanksgiving Day or a mayonnaise sandwich or an air sandwich (you remember those), if we are healthy, with only minor aches and pains, in the middle of this historic pandemic, we are blessed and so much better off than hundreds of thousands of others.
Our Health is our Wealth.
I want to wish you and your family and friends a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving TODAY and EVERY DAY.
Enjoy the time you get to spend with each other (in person or virtually) and use the time to reflect on this year's challenges and blessings despite the struggles.
"Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus."
--Philippians 4: 6-7

Say THANKS This Thanksgiving by "Giving"
|
|
Looking for ways to give back this Thanksgiving & holiday season?
Below is a list of four ways we can give back: with our Time, Talent & Treasure.
|
|
-
Volunteer at a Soup Kitchen - A wonderful way to give back is serving food to less-fortunate families at a soup kitchen, church, or community center.
-
Pack Thanksgiving Meals - Help pack and deliver bags of Thanksgiving ingredients to families in your area.
-
Run in a Turkey Trot - Finding a local turkey trot is a terrific way to support a great cause and burn off some calories!
-
Donate a Turkey - Buying or gifting a Turkey to a Thanksgiving goof drive or a food bank; or make a donation to a charitable organization.

A SPECIAL "THANK YOU" TO OUR FRONTLINE WORKERS & OTHERS
|
|
Let's also give THANKS to and Pray for our frontline workers: Doctors Nurses, Scientists, and Other Health Professionals, Essential Workers, Teachers, Parents, COVID Testers, COVID Tracers, Poll Workers, Food Bank Volunteers, Donors,
Patriots, Voters, Mask Wearers, and ALL of those who
help our neighbors and fellow citizens in any
way during these challenging times.
"And now we thank you,
our God, and praise
your glorious name."
