Employer Responsibilities in Winter Weather

Snow days were a highlight of winter when many of us were children, but now winter weather presents a host of difficulties for employers. There are safety concerns, OSHA regulations to comply with, potential liability risks, attendance confusion and pay-related issues to address. It's important to be prepared for all scenarios associated with inclement weather before the weather arrives, and to make sure employees are properly informed of all relevant policies and procedures.

The Benefits of Telemedicine Services in Your Medical Coverage

What is Telemedicine?
Telemedicine uses technology to facilitate communication, whether real-time or delayed, between a doctor and patient who are not in the same physical location for the purpose of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. Advances in telecommunication allow the exchange of medical information from one site to another to serve patients in a clinical setting.
  CIA's COMPASSION IN ACTION

During this holiday season, our staff is giving back to our community as we work with two very important charitable organizations:

Turning Point
We have several team members who are volunteering at Turning Point this December. These team members will be helping receive and sort the holiday donations. This time of year overwhelms the staff at Turning Point. By our volunteer efforts we help Turning Point get all of the generous donations to exactly where they need to go. www.turningpointmacomb.org

Bethany Christian Services
We have partnered with Bethany Christian services to provide an amazing Christmas for 4 children in the foster system in the Metro-Detroit area. This is our 3rd year in a row sponsoring children through BCS, and we love having the opportunity to brighten the holiday season for those who have withstood so many challenges early in life. www.bethany.org

We welcome you to share in our efforts and support these incredible organizations.
