Summer Camps 2019!

Summer campers return year after year to experience the awesome power of writing. We've even added a 3-day workshop for Young Adults 18+ who've aged out of our camps.

Our week-long camps are designed to help strengthen participants' authentic voices, develop their ability to speak out through writing and community-building, and deepen their belief in their own creative intelligence. Our camps are open to young women, girls, and trans and gender nonconforming (TGNC) youth.

"The Thanksgiving Play"

April 14, 1:30-5:30 pm

In the sixth of our ten-part series, we partner with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park to explore a holiday Americans have come to know as Thanksgiving. After viewing the play, Annette Januzzi Wick and Lisa Prantl will lead participants in a discussion on how we speak or act as allies. How can we use language to further enrich our understanding of historical events? Can individual stories be reclaimed from stereotypical portrayals? Open to All Genders 16+.

Stay tuned for announcements for upcoming programs in this series!
And the Angel Award Goes to...
Kitrina Covert

Many thanks go out to Kitrina Covert, our property "angel" who keeps showing up behind the scenes to care for various building needs. Kitrina has long contributed to various building projects, including orchestrating the 2016 interior painting of both floors. More recently she's been showing up on the weekends to work on our basement, remove construction debris, and general cleaning and organization!

Thank you, Kitrina, for your invaluable efforts and contributions in caring for WWf(a)C in this way!
