Residents are also reminded that there are temporary road and parking restrictions in place during the tournament to ensure local traffic and emergency vehicles can continue to move safely through the neighbourhood. Upcoming events and other information

Tow truck licensing

We're taking steps to implement a tow truck by-law this year that will regulate towing prices and ensure that only licensed tow truck companies, drivers and vehicle storage yards operate in Oakville. Learn more at an Open House information session on Friday, August 3 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.
Last call for candidates

If you're considering running for Council or school board trustee, the nomination deadline for potential candidates is tomorrow, July 27 at 2 p.m. We're also looking for people to work on election day (October 22) as assistant deputy returning officers, greeters and tabulator officers. Apply online or in person at Town Hall.
Reducing coyote conflicts

While seeing a coyote in Oakville is not necessarily cause for alarm, it can be concerning when they get too close for comfort. To help reduce coyote conflicts, keep garbage, bird feed and pet food stored away and don't let cats or dogs roam freely. Check out our website for more tips on how to safely co-exist with coyotes.
