AIA Roc Centennial Installation

Midtown Commons is home to Rochester's first   architectural installation. The Installation is the culmination of a design build competition held by AIA Rochester to commemorate its Centennial.  Each of the seven structures reinterprets the "gabled roof", arguably the most recognizable form of architecture in western society.  The Installation is open to the public through Labor Day. There is only one more month to experience the Installations, so make plans to visit Midtown Commons soon!  Drop us a note on email or social media to let us know what you think!  Click  here  to see more.

AIA Rochester - Centennial Instagram Campaign

Our Centennial Instagram project continues as we feature the 2019 AIA Rochester Design Award submissions.  Be sure to check them out!  In September we continue to feature our members' projects in an effort to educate the public on what architects do.  Follow us on Instagram at @aiaroc. The images are also being cross-posted on Facebook at AIA Rochester. The beautiful images from our member firms on our Instagram 365 Initiative have reached over 1.6K people on Facebook alone.

We are still collecting images for our second round.  All firms are welcome and encouraged to participate in one of our public advocacy campaigns for 2019! All you need to do is email us 10 images (preferably JPG - 300dpi), include your firm name, provide a short description of each photo, and list the name of the photographer.  Images of buildings: Images may include buildings, a specific image of a building element, community project, or a firm event. The goal is to promote local architecture firms, local architects and local good design. GET CONNECTED and be part of the movement!  Questions, email Linda at lbhewitt@aiaroc.org
Coming in October - AIA Roc participates in Fashion Week

SAVE THE DATE - Friday, October 18, 2019
Rochester Fashion Week is the opportunity for Rochester architects to dip their toes into the world of haute couture while also making a charitable impact on the community.  It's also a chance for the local fashion community to show their talent off to a much larger audience than they usually enjoy.  AIA Rochester is proud to be part of Fashion Week with 12 local teams designing outfits based on iconic Rochester architecture.   Click here to learn more!
