~ November 2019 ~
Director's Corner with   K.C. Cloke

We've heard a lot of great feedback regarding our Fall Dinner held just a few weeks ago! The "Around the World" theme was a hit and this year's program allowed us an exceptional opportunity to showcase what the chamber does for its membership. We were pleased to receive many Membership Response Forms back from our attendees expressing interest in learning more about our chamber and our efforts as well as many individuals desiring to get more involved by participating on a Chamber Committee. If you weren't able to make it, I'd like to share with you the form that was made available, click here to download the Membership Response Form. I encourage you to take a few moments to review both sides, one side listing the many efforts and activities and the other identifying the many committees you can take part in. The success of our Chamber efforts relies heavily on the volunteer support we receive from our committees so please, take a moment to review, complete, and return the form to get involved.

While some are gearing up for turkey day others are already singing along to Christmas music in the background. I'm okay with either as I LOVE this time of year! I would like to encourage you to keep our community in mind as you begin checking off your holiday shopping list. Small Business Saturday takes place nationwide on Saturday, November 30th and is a great initiative to support our members. The Lake Area Chamber has a variety of miscellaneous promotional materials available to any member that would like to use them. Also, we have "Shop Small" canvas bags that we will be passing out at Willmore Lodge during the month of November to remind our visitors to shop our community. If you have interest in distributing the canvas bags at your location we'd love to provide you with some while supplies last.

We thank you for your support of the Lake Area Chamber, and to our continued success!

  Sincerly,
K.C. Cloke
Executive Director
