Did you know that:

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is twice as common as Schizophrenia?
  • About sixty percent of indviduals living with OCD in the community do not receive the treatment they need?
As part of a statewide training initiative to improve the quality and access to care for individuals with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, The Center for OCD and Related Disorders and The Center for Practice Innovations at Columbia Psychiatry and the New York State Psychiatric Institute collaborated with the New York State Office of Mental Health (NYS-OMH) to host an educational webinar on OCD.

This archived webinar will present the facts on OCD and its symptoms, the causes of OCD and review OCD treatment options. Experts in OCD will present an individual living with OCD to illustrate examples of obsessions and compulsions and how these symptoms may change as a result of life stress and affect functioning throughout the lifespan.
