Women at the Well
 Women at the Well is a United Methodist
congregation which is located within the walls of the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women in Mitchellville Iowa. We will be attending service with them on Thursday, May 3rd at 7:00. We can take up to 10 guests. We currently have 5 who are attending. If you are interested, please contact

Lords's Acre Sale
 We are richly blessed. Each year since 1948 our church has given back to the Lord by sharing talents, time and effort for Lord's Acre Sale. We invite the whole church family and community to participate, share food, crafts and auction items on a day of fellowship, music and fun. Funds raised have gone to special projects, missions and operating expenses. This year Lord's Acre sale is on Saturday, September 29. After 70 years we are open to new ideas or a new format-or we can stay with the tried and true. We need a group of people who would be willing to serve as a planning committee and if you would be willing to consider this, there is a sign-up sheet in the Welcome Center. Signing does not commit you to anything except a possible interest. Thanks for considering this as we keep this rich tradition alive.

Swisher Fun Days, July 27-28th
 Come be a part of Swisher Days. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and there will be trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Stay and enjoy the amazing food, drinks, music, games and more. There will be lots of activities for the children this year. Mark your calendar and spread the word.

College Care Packages
 If you have a son or daughter that would appreciate a finals care package please submit their name, address and school no later than April 22nd to Sue Slattery. There will also be a sign up sheet in Welcome Center of the church. Financial donations to help offset the cost of postage are always appreciated and may be placed in the offering or dropped off at the church.

Notes of Gratitude
 After many years of scheduling treats, servers and times for Fellowship, Connie Goldsberry is stepping down as Fellowship Coordinator. She will be passing the torch to the competent hands of Sheila Stepanek. A huge thank you to Connie for her service to SUMC in this capacity and thank you to Sheila for stepping up. If you would like to be on the schedule for hosting Fellowship or bringing treats, please contact Sheila Stepanek.

Lawn Mowing Volunteers Needed
 Trustees are looking for volunteers to mow grass this spring and summer. If you are looking for a way to support our church and be able to see immediately what you have accomplished, this is a way you can do that. Sign up to mow the church lawn for a week, a couple of weeks, or whatever time you can provide to this need. A sign up sheet will be in the church lobby. Trustees can show you what to mow and how to run the mower. If you are not able to mow, sign up to donate $100 toward hiring a lawn service to mow for you. Contact a trustee if you have questions.

Coordinating Our Building Use
Are you needing a place at the church for a committee meeting or event? Please note that ALL scheduling of the building's use must be cleared and scheduled through Julie in the church office. This is not a "permission" issue, but we do need this central location for keeping track of the building's activities (we are thankful to be able to host a growing number of Boy and Girl Scouts this year!). Just
