Weekly Message From Our Pastor
Sunday Message
WWJU - What Would Jesus Undo: Hypocrisy
The story's told of a very wealthy man, who one day at the worship service of his church, stood before the congregation to share his faith.
"I'm a millionaire," he said, "and I attribute it all to the rich blessings of God in my life. It all began when I earned my first dollar and the next morning went to Sunday services. The speaker was a missionary who told about his amazing work. Listening to him, I knew that I had only a dollar bill and had to either give it all to God's work, or give nothing at all. At that moment I decided to give my whole dollar to God. I believe that God blessed that decision, and that is why I am so rich today."
He finished, sat down, and the room was filled with an awed silence.
A little old lady, sitting next to him in the pew leaned over & whispered in his ear, "I dare you to do it again!"
Hypocrisy. Hypocrite. The practice of claiming to have a moral standards or beliefs, but not actually practicing them in one's life.
Sound like anybody you know or have seen lately? Perhaps in the mirror?
Would it surprise you to know that Jesus had something to say about this? If you want to do some prep work for this weekend, open your Bible or Bible app to Matthew 25 and start reading at verse one. Warning: Jesus gets more than a little upset. Sunday's preaching theme - WWJU: Hypocrisy.
Living for Jesus!
-Ned

July Message Series: WWJU
There's a good chance many have heard the acronym, WWJD. It's often found on bracelets or t-shirts; an abbreviated reminder to consider in difficult situations, asking the question, "What would Jesus do?" This month we begin a new message series that takes this popular saying and moves it in a slightly different direction, instead asking, "What Would Jesus Undo?" What are the things that break Jesus' heart, bother him, create a real sense of dissatisfaction? See you in worship!

Thank You, Pastor Phil
Ten years ago when Living Water was taking its first steps as a church, on a couple occasions our leaders reached out to Pastor Phil Mueller to assist with Sunday morning worship. He eagerly came and shared tender words of God's grace, truth, and love. Pastor Phil died this past week and this Sunday, we will be remembering and giving thanks to God for his gift of pastoral leadership. The full obituary may be read by
