NORTH STATE BIA POSTS MAY SALES NUMBERS

ROSEVILLE - A total of 359 new homes were sold during May in the greater Sacramento region, the North State Building Industry Association reported today. The sales were reported in 139 subdivisions in the six-county Greater Sacramento region from Marysville and Yuba City in the north to Galt in the south.  In addition, 13,510 people visited active new-home communities last month. Historical sales and traffic data can be viewed here.

BIA President and CEO Michael Stech said the sales and traffic figures demonstrate the demand for new homes continues to grow.

"Traffic and sales both slipped back a bit from April but month-to-month fluctuations are normal. Our builders are still seeing strong demand and with a number of new-home communities coming on line later this year, we expect 2018 to be a solid year in the region," Strech said.
