GBAR raised over $14,000 at RPAC Wine & Cheese Silent Auction event
The Greater Bergen Association of Realtors RPAC committee hosted their first RPAC event this past Thursday at the Ramsey Golf & Country Club in Ramsey, NJ. The evening included unlimited wine, and a decadent antipasto display with a silent auction throughout the event. GBAR was able to raise over $14,000.00 in RPAC investments. Existing-Home Sales Surge 11.8 Percent in February
Existing-home sales rebounded strongly in February, experiencing the largest month-over-month gain since December 2015, according to the National Association of Realtors®. Three of the four major U.S. regions saw sales gains, while the Northeast remained unchanged from last month.

Supreme Court Makes it Harder for Borrowers to Fight Foreclosures in Non-judicial States
Law firms, mortgage lenders and servicers were just awarded more protection in serving non-judicial foreclosures, according to a recent Supreme Court ruling. The ruling is a victory for the mortgage industry in its fight to retrieve property from delinquent homeowners. One attorney claims the ruling may eliminate thousands of similar homeowner lawsuits.

NAR Accelerator Program Eyes Next Big Tech for Commercial Sector
Second Century Ventures announced this week that it is launching a real estate technology accelerator aimed at the commercial market. Second Century Ventures has begun accepting applications for the 2019 REach Commercial class through March 31. “Venture capital is flowing into real estate technology at an exponential rate, driving innovation in every corner of the industry,” says Mark Birschbach, NAR’s senior vice president of strategic business, innovation and technology.
