JOIN THOUSANDS OF SCHOOLS
ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Mark your calendars!
Join thousands of students, teachers, families, and communities as they participate in the 7th Annual Bike to School Day Celebration on
Wednesday, May 9, 2018.

Similar to Walk to School Day, Bike to School Day
started as a single day event geared toward providing opportunities for communities to commit to creating safe environments for youth to walk and bike to school. Since then, the annual event has drawn national and international attention, support, and participation.
Last year, the state of Texas had 47 schools register and participate in Bike to School Day.

Will your school be joining the fun this year?

DID YOU KNOW ASTHMA IS THE LEADING CHRONIC ILLNESS AMONG CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS
IN THE UNITED STATES?

Asthma and depression each affect about 10% of the overall U.S. population. The prevalence of asthma is somewhat higher among youth than adults.

While some U.S. studies have shown an association between asthma and depression, the data is based mostly on self-report rather than objective clinical measurements of these conditions .
