RFP: Bay of Quinte Region FDI Target Market Study & Organizational Strategic Plan

Proposal Submission Deadline:  April 30, 2019

Purpose of the RFP

Target Markets and Strategic Plan
2019 is a year to continue the momentum of growth in the Bay of Quinte region, leveraging the past efforts and successes of the QEDC and partners. While the QEDC continues with proven investment attraction and retention programs the staff, board and partners will also take the opportunity to re- evaluate its target sectors and update its strategic plan.

A new target market study and strategic plan will need to consider local factors such as: new industrial land developments, labour market skills and availability, the changing profile of the local manufacturing sector, disruptive technologies, and emerging sectors. As well, changing provincial, national and international factors need to be considered including: changes to global trade opportunities and world- wide supply chain linkages, increased global competition, currency exchange rate fluctuations, regulatory burden, energy costs, technological advances, and other factors that could influence the Bay of Quinte Region's economic opportunities.
