Stallions in the Spotlight
SFD parent Bill Hinger and his daughter, senior Helena Hinger attended the installation of Bishop Brennan last Friday at St. Joseph Cathedral.
Over Spring Break the Visual Arts Department took 25 students and 2 adult chaperones to New York City for 5 days and 4 nights. The trip was packed full of classic NYC stops: Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, 9/11 Museum, Central Park Zoo, the High Line, the Empire State Building, sightseeing and a Broadway show! Plus they enjoyed tours of some of the best museums in the world including MOMA, the Met, the Guggenheim, the Cloisters, the Neue Gallery and smaller private galleries. The students had a great time and even found the energy to shop, sample NYC food vendors and ate some great New York pizza! They even saw a marriage proposal on the ice at the rink on Rockefeller Center! We plan to make this trip again in the future.
