Connect With Pacifica This Week
Greetings!

I’ve written previously about a potential November 2018 county-wide ½ cent sales tax measure the San Mateo County Transit District and the County Board of Supervisors are considering putting on the ballot, called Get Us Moving. This effort has launched a new survey to learn more specifically how residents throughout the county would like to see the revenue spent. Their previous survey (thank you if you took that one) revealed top choices that would 1) Reduce traffic congestion on highways; 2) Maintain and expand countywide transit services; and 3) Reduce local congestion and repair potholes. Their new survey is an Interactive Budget Challenge allowing respondents to be more specific about what you think.  I encourage as many Pacifica residents as possible to weigh in with their opinion on this new survey, even if you took their previous survey ! It really matters because information gathered through the survey and other public meetings will help inform the creation of an expenditure plan that the San Mateo County Transit District Board of Directors and the County Board of Supervisors will consider for the November 2018 ballot. The survey is at www.GetUsMovingSMC.com . There will also be upcoming town hall meetings you can attend, details below.

Please let me know if you have comments or questions, and  thank you  for wanting to  Connect with Pacifica !

Sincerely,
KEVIN WOODHOUSE
City Manager
