Summer Break Time
It's time to up the summertime ante. Our ultimate summer guide, Break Time Magazine , has loads of activities and adventures to get you out and about. We've got some fun days planned so all you have to do is play! Our summer survival guide features camps, leisure classes and epic events for all ages!  Pick just a morning's activity or a whole day, and you are guaranteed to make memories galore.
 
Mark your calendars Resident Registration opens Saturday, May 5 and Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m. for Non-residents.
Adventures in Camp
Happy Camper
Summer just wouldn't be the same without the excitement and adventure of Chandler Parks & Recreation Camps. With sessions designed for the brainy, the brawny, the thrill-seeker and the dramatic alike, there's fun for everyone. Each week is designed to entice kids with their favorite activities, engage them in weekly challenges and themes, and entertain them with new buddies, dedicated staff and silly surprises. Adventure awaits your camper this summer. Sessions run June 4-July 20 and are available the Chandler Community CenterEnvironmental Education CenterSnedigar Recreation Center and Tumbleweed Recreation Center.
Free Family Picks

Drive-in movies may be few and far between, but that doesn't mean you and your family can't still catch a flick outdoors. CinePark returns to Tumbleweed Park this month! Enjoy crafts, games, giveaways, music and activities before each movie. Movies begin at 8 p.m. and include the popular Coco, Hotel Transylvania 2 and Despicable Me 3.

Learn to Swim
Aquatics  
May is National Water Safety Month and the perfect time to learn to swim. Enroll in a Learn to Swim program today. Chandler Aquatics offers free swim lesson placement testing during public swim hours. Learn to Swim programs are offered at all six Chandler Aquatic Centers, teaching basic swimming skills and water safety practices for all ages. 
Mommy and Me Crafting

Crafts galore will keep you and your little ones entertained at Mommy & Me Crafting Together. Spend quality time with your mini-me (and new BFFs) while growing their imaginations and nurturing their skill sets. 
Pinterest Craftpalooza

Make and take summer treasures when you attend Pinterest Craftpalooza. From pipe cleaners to washi tape decoupage, there's something to tap every child's creativity. Cool off on Saturdays with us as explore a variety of do-it-yourself crafts found online.
Teen
Bartlett Lake Summer is a shore thing with a wet and wild day trip to Bartlett Lake. Teens can enjoy a host of fun attractions including a beach-side barbecue, swimming, games and stand up paddleboard lessons. Transportation, water sports and meals are included.

Free your mind and body with Snedigar Recreation Center's practices of mindfulness, meditation and yoga. This summer, r oll out your yoga mat and discover how yoga has the power to calm the mind and strengthen the body. Try one or all three yoga classes:  All Levels Yoga, Gentle Yoga and Yoga Level 1
Senior Health and Fitness Day
Active Adult
Chandler Senior Center wants you to Move In May. Why? Because it's National Senior Health & Fitness Day and what better time to focus on being active and becoming a healthier you! Join us Wednesday, May 30 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. as we help you get "Active Today..." and build a "Healthier Tomorrow!" Enjoy free fitness demonstrations, wellness speakers and giveaways.
You Look Marvelous Fashion Show
Therapeutics
We're rolling out the red carpet in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the You Look Marvelous Fashion Show! Join the Cities of Chandler and Mesa Therapeutic and Adaptive Programs on Saturday, May 12, for "An Evening with the Stars." Therapeutic Recreation Stars, take center stage at the Chandler Center for the Arts for a Hollywood inspired fashion show. From gorgeous gowns to black-tie attire and bling, everyone will be setting the stage for a must-see show.
 
Bring your autograph books. Show doors open at 4:30 p.m. and fashion show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 and may be purchased at the Box Office.
