Our 2019 Lottery Day  was held this week. Special thanks to our Lottery Official - Graphic Designer, Stacy Scarlett . A huge shout out to the Lottery Day Team: MFCS Parents Kim S. and Meghan S., Ms. Shannon and Susanne. Susanne has managed all of the Lottery prep and related data and is now reaching out to our new students and wait list families. We had 188 Lottery  applicants this year (including siblings of currently enrolled students), and there were 22 towns represented and 16 languages! We were able to offer 10 Kinder spots to the general public after all Kinder siblings of current students were placed. All other applicants were placed on the wait list organized by grade.

Have your plans for next year changed since you sent in your Intent to Return Form?

It is always our hope that each of our enrolled students will stay with us through the end of Upper Elementary (6th grade). However, we know that life circumstances can play a role in your decisions regarding your child's education. It is extremely important that you communicate with us about your plans for next year if they include your moving your child to a new school.

As a NH charter school, our per-pupil funding from the state is based ONLY  on true enrollment, so we must keep all of our 168 spots full at all times to meet our expected state-funding levels. That includes starting the year with a full roster. Additionally, when openings arise - either during the year, or in preparation for the start of a new year - we aim to give our wait list families the opportunity to see the school in action if they wish. Therefore, the sooner you are able to share your plans, the more we can help future Mill Falls Families transition smoothly into our learning community.

So if you plan to enroll your child in a different school next year, please send an email to [email protected]. If you are considering a change, but would like some advice, please reach out to your child's Lead Teacher or to Laura W. Thank you for keeping us in the loop about your plans!
