Our next outing is scheduled for
this Saturday, July 21. Our plan is to hike the Middle Prong Trail in the Smokies. This will be an out and back hike so you can go for as long or as short as you wish. The trail is relatively easy for a Smokies trail. Pack a lunch and be sure to have plenty of water. We will leave from the church at 9:30 a.m. Please
click here or call the church office 865-982-6192
to make a reservation.

THANK YOU, BROADWAY! AND...
Brown Food Pantry clients are so appreciative of the toiletries you have provided for them. In addition to those toiletries, we will be handing out school supplies during July and August for those clients who may be overwhelmed with school expenses. If you are out shopping, please consider picking up a few school supplies and drop them by the church. This list provides suggestions, but you can also pick up any school supply list from local stores and purchase items from that list. God Bless you all!

Creative way to invite people to church
One thing that was evident from our “Let’s Grow Worship” effort was that most people felt that they would invite people to Broadway. One of the easiest ways to do that is to share events and posts from our church social media sites. A simple “share” increases exponentially Broadway’s information across a larger population. Put another way, it’s free advertising! We are trying to put our events on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as one way to get the word out about what is going on at Broadway. If you haven’t already connect with us on social media to receive information and reminders and start sharing!

Share Your Ideas/Suggestions
The Let’s Grow Worship Task Force wants to hear from you. The Summer Worship Schedule has been scheduled intentionally for a period of 10 weeks. This gives us time to experience it but it also means that it is not set in stone. Please give us your thoughts and ideas. Some things to think about include:
What brings you to worship when you come? What speaks to you in each service? What makes it hard/easy for you to be here? What about this schedule is hard/easy? What about this worship style speaks/does not speak to you?
You can email any thoughts/reflections to Pastor Laura at
pastor@broadwayumc.net
or we have also developed an on-line information gathering survey. Click here to get to the survey
