Evan Wesley Currie Concert

Sunday, July 22, 2018
6 PM in The Sanctuary

Belin Chancel Choir welcomes Evan Wesley Currie this Sunday at 6 PM for an evening of sacred and classical selections on the Allen Quantum 370 digital organ. This non-ticketed event is free to the public and will feature the choir accompanied by Mr. Currie.

A Charlotte native, Mr. Currie earned a Bachelor of Music degree, cum laude, in organ performance from Furman University and just completed a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. In January of 2017, Mr. Currie was appointed the Director of Music and Organist at Bridgewater United Methodist Church in Bridgewater, NJ, where he currently oversees a multifaceted and diverse music program comprised of 4 choirs, and multiple instrumental and bell ensembles.

The Chancel Choir will receive a love offering at the concert in support of its trip to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City in May 2019.

Waterfront Beautification Dedication

Waterfront Beautification Dedication
Sunday, August 12, 6 PM

The changes to our waterfront have been significant since we began improving the area in 2016. Beginning with the new cross, it has become a beacon, a place of solitude for those in need, a place of celebration on special occasions, a sanctuary for worship, and a beautiful addition to our entire campus and community.

With much prayer, planning, and hard work, it is now complete. The lovely gardens, the wall with engraved bricks honoring so many family members and friends, the new stone steps honoring one our our heroes while providing safe footing, and the placement of our Belin stepping stone bench are now complete.

You are invited to join us at the seawall on Sunday, August 12, 6 PM for a service of Dedication and Thanksgiving.
