Cancer Prevention Research Forum (CPRF) Meetings

Are you sometimes tired of your same old research process? Do you wish you could start something new but don't have the time or energy to do it by yourself? Are you stuck staring at the same Specific Aims page for days?

If so, the new CPRF meetings could be for you!

What is CPRF? A forum for discussions and collaborations among faculty designed to stimulate research ideas, build collaborations, and share best practices. Our offerings include:

  • Small group discussion in a targeted area of shared interest designed to facilitate collaboration on existing and new projects
  • Informal presentations or Q&A sessions designed to allow CPC investigators or others to share their expertise and experiences in certain topic areas or with best practices
  • Small groups designed to give conceptual feedback on early drafts of research projects or grants

If you have an idea or interest in proposing a CPRF, send an email to Jerod Stapleton at [email protected] And keep an eye out for an invitation for a CPRF meeting in your inbox soon!

Update from the Population Science Research Support Shared Resource!

The Population Science Research Support Shared Resource is supporting several new projects, including a study led by Dr. Elisa Bandera , Professor of Epidemiology & Section Chief for Cancer Epidemiology and Health Outcomes at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, to continue research on disparities in breast cancer risk and survival in Hispanic breast cancer survivors. The Shared Resource is working closely with Dr. Bandera and her team to develop the data management system and surveys to help facilitate data collection.

The Population Science Research Support Shared Resource provides efficient, high-quality data collection, management, and consultation for population science studies. We work with researchers and clinicians to provide expertise and technical support for project development and implementation through comprehensive study management tools, database design and management, electronic data collection, and quality control of data management processes.

For more information, see click here or contact Carolina Lozada ( [email protected] ). We would be glad to meet with faculty and their staff to discuss how we can support upcoming grant applications and projects.
