On a beautiful, sunny, Monday afternoon, the Abby Bastien Memorial Stone was dedicated in the prayer garden by the breezeway. The SCCS Teen Leadership Corps presented the stone to SCCS and the Legando and Bastien Families in honor of Abby, a 2016 SMCC graduate who passed away unexpectedly last summer.

GOLDEN DIPLOMA Members of the SMCC Class of 1968 are invited to receive their "Golden Diploma," honoring the 50-year anniversary of graduation at this year's commencement ceremony on May 27, 2018. The day begins with Baccalaureate Mass at 1:30pm at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. The Graduation Ceremony begins at 3:30pm at The Kinzel Center. SMCC ART SHOW Please join us on Wednesday, May 2 for the SMCC Art Show. Student artwork will be exhibited in The Kinzel Center from 6:30pm-9:00pm, with awards presented at 8:00pm. This year's Art Show theme is "The End of an Era," to celebrate Ms. Karen Shaylor's 33 years of dedication to the SMCC art program, as she will be retiring in June. 2018 AUCTION A SUCCESS- THANK YOU! We would like to thank all of our sponsors, donors, volunteers and attendees of the "It's Not Our First Rodeo" auction held this past weekend. The night was a huge success, supporting the SCCS Annual Fund. This fund encompasses tuition assistance, teacher compensation, athletics, capital improvements, and student services (academics, technology, visual arts, and music). MOTHER/DAUGHTER DANCE On Sunday, May 6, the Panther Cheerleaders are hosting "Boots and Bling," a mother/daughter dance in celebration of Mother's Day. The dance is from 6:30pm-8:00pm in the Multi Purpose Room, and is open to daughters in preschool through grade 8 and Moms, Grandmothers, or any other influence deserving of celebration. IMPORTANT EDCHOICE SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE INFORMATION We have been informed that the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship deadline is April 30 and will not re-open in July, as it has in the past. This means that all new and renewal scholarship applications MUST be submitted before the April 30 deadline, or they will be denied. No applications will be accepted after that date. Please submit applications to SCCS by April 23 so we have time to process them before the deadline.
