Meeting called to order by President Rachel Toomey. Total attendance: 25, members; 22, other Kiwanis; 2-Bob Kemper (N.C), former member and past President  Heather Langdale, Guests; 1 Darlene Grossman speaker.

Nice to have Stewart back with us, nice to see Heather with us today and thanks for bringing in buckets of pull tabs. Kate Smiley here too. 

50/50: Connie Prevatt had the lucky ticket. She did not pull the ace of hearts so the jackpot rolls over. Anyone can participate for the instant winnings but only club members can pull for the jackpot if their ticket is pulled.

Ready to serve as an officer or director? Our nominating committee wants to hear from you!

President Rachel passed out copies of club excellence survey. Please fill it out and return by April 2nd. All members will be emailed a copy. You can remain anonymous. 

Check out the service calendar that is going around. It has all service events coming our way. A copy will be emailed to all. 

Bling and Bags Bingo for Children's Advocacy Center is on April 3rd. Our table is full and 2 members are volunteering :-)

Sign up sheets have been emailed and circulated to volunteer at one of the BUG recognition programs, and the annual Egg Hunt and for the March of Dimes walk.Sign up at a club meeting or email your choices to Kim. Thanks everyone that has already done so. 

Thanks to the money salvage crew this past Tuesday. You helped us at United Way cash in a lot of "dough." Liz Ross, Cathy Smith, Linda Petrik, Todd Adams, Dick Arndt,  Bill and Shara Grant and Lindsey Lenhart,  United Way appreciates your time.      

Oasis Reading Room-  (Stewart Ross). Weekly reading/mentoring is at Orangewood Elementary on Wednesdays (except on designated school holidays). Times are 1:50pm-2:30pm (you have two different youth during this time). Sign up with Stewart 507-304-1624 or [email protected] 
 
MS Support Group- (Bill Grant), meets 3rd Thursday of the month at St. Hilary Episcopal Church. Volunteers will be needed to cover the summer months Bill and Ed are out of state. If you can help, consider learning the ropes now.

Aktion Club-(Karen Hurst) at LARC. Meets 2nd Tuesday at 8:30am. Karen reported they are working on planter beautification boxes. 
 
CKI Club-  at  FGCU. 

Key Club- ( Harris Segel) Collegiate High on FSW campus.  

Builder's Club-( Barbara Hartman, Todd Adams, Ada Trapanese) Cypress Lake Middle School. Meets 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 4:00pm.  Barbara reported they celebrated Builders Week last week because spring break is this week. The Gulf Coast Humane Society brought a couple of dogs by for the kids to see and pick up donated items from the clubs recent project-- Puppy Love. The winning class got donuts from Krispy Kreme too!

K-Kids-( Kim Berghs) Littleton Elementary at 2:15pm on Wednesdays 1-2 times per month. 
                          Today's Program:  Hope Health Care Services

Our presenter today was Darlene Grossman. The agency provides comprehensive, coordinated programs designed to meet the social, emotional, and practical challenges of everyone in need of comforting care. Programs include; Hope PACE, Hope at Home, Hope Healing Hearts, Hope Valor, Hopeful Wishes, and Hope Therapies, and Hope Parkinson. They also have a Hope for pets program.                              Florida's First Lady Project--Diaper Drive


We are collecting diapers during the months of March and April. 

Last call for March. Give them to Ada as we'll be donating them to St. Vincent De Paul. They will go to families in Page Park and Pine Manor. We will update you for April. We are at 2,000 so far. 

At the end of April we'll send our total diaper count to the Florida office. 

You can also bring in items associated with diapers such as wipes. If you don't want to shop a club member will be happy to do that.

How To Register for March For Babies Event Online- Step By Step
  1. Open your web browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome etc)
  2. In the search bar type the link: https://www.marchforbabies.org/team/Division19Kiwanis
  3. Once on the home page- Click "JOIN THIS TEAM" purple box
  4. It will prompt you to enter your email address or sign up using Facebook or Google. Chose what best fits you.
  5. If you chose to sign up with an email address the next page will ask you to create an account by putting in your user name, a password etc. At the bottom click "CREATE ACCOUNT".
    1. You will also notice at the bottom right hand corner a purple box that says "Live Support ONLINE". You can use this if you need help.
    2. After creating an account- You will see "Event and team details".
      1. Verify the address showing is "SOUTHWEST FLORIDA Centennial Park, 200 West First Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
                                                              i.      If this is not the address that shows up click "Change location"                                                                                below the given address.
  1. On the right side you will see "Division 19 Kiwanis" as the team name and "Lindsey Lenhart" as the team captain.
  2. After you are done verifying the details click "CONTINUE" at the bottom of the page.
  3. You will be asked to "ENTER YOUR PERSONAL FUNDRAISING GOAL" - enter any amount and click "CONTINUE".
  4. In the next page you will have the opportunity to personally donate. If you don't want to do it then click "Not right now" in grey letters.
  5. After selecting your personal ties to the campaign, you will be able to see your account.
