FARSite to Go Away on October 1, 2019
The popular and functional FARSite search engine, maintained by Hill Air Force Base for the past 20 years, is scheduled to be "transitioned" into the GSA-operated website at
ACQUISITION.GOV  effective October 1, 2019.

This news was recently announced on FARSite in this brief statement: "FARSite.hill.af.mil is being actively transitioned to  ACQUISITION.GOV . FARSite will be available in the current location through 30 Sep 2019."

FARSite is widely used by acquisition professionals in both the government and industry sectors - especially those with Department of Defense affiliations. One of the reasons is the integration of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement and other agency Federal Acquisition Regulation supplements into the search function of FARSite. It is not known whether this functionality will be offered at ACQUISITION.GOV in the future. As soon as we hear of a new site - we will advise in a future issue of "Government Contracting News."
