Donald E. Fennoy II, Ed.D., Sworn in as Palm Beach County's 26th Superintendent of Schools
It was a series of firsts last Wednesday for Superintendent Donald E. Fennoy II: his first time on the dais at his first School Board meeting as Superintendent; his official swearing-in as Palm Beach County's first African-American Superintendent; his first appearance before hundreds of School District employees and community leaders as the chief executive of the nation's 10th largest school district.

"Now it's time to go to work," Dr. Fennoy said as he took his place on the dais. "I'm excited, and thank you again for everything. To my family and to my son and everyone, just thank you." Read more...

Christa McAuliffe MS Home to Spelling Bee, Rubik's Cube Champ
With the help of his teacher, Dr. Bellas Christa McAuliffe Middle School  student Tommy Cherry won the regional spelling bee for Palm Beach County.

District Students Earn Top Scores in the Nation on Cambridge AICE Exams
Three Palm Beach County students were recognized for receiving 'Top in Country' awards for earning the highest score in the United States in their specific Cambridge AICE exam! The District's recent awards ceremony also honored more than 500 other local students who participate in the program developed by the University of Cambridge in England. Watch the video...


Dr. Donald Fennoy: Education Changes Lives

Education changed the life trajectory for our new Superintendent, Dr. Donald E. Fennoy II. Even when he had to hide his academic gifts to take on a tough-guy image to fit in while growing up in rural South Carolina, education steered him back on the right path. In 1987, his father took him to see the Florida A&M University marching band at a South Carolina State game and instantly, Donald was hooked. From that point on, he excelled in music and received a partial scholarship to Florida A&M University.  Read more...
