You might have noticed our logo got a recent color change to Yellow. Here's why...
From the
City of Amarillo, Texas
:
This is Amarillo’s opportunity to come together and show the world how a strong community makes it through a trying time. To join our ALL IN Amarillo campaign, put something yellow at the front of your house or in your front yard. It can be something as simple as a yellow towel in the front window, or it can be a banner your children worked on as an art project. We’re looking forward to seeing your creativity!
The goal of putting up something yellow for ALL IN Amarillo is to show our gratitude for hospital personnel, first responders, grocery store and restaurant employees and everyone else working to keep us safe, healthy and supplied during this time. We’re ALL IN this together.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act allocated $350 billion to help small businesses keep workers employed amid the pandemic and economic downturn. Known as the Paycheck Protection Program, the initiative provides 100% federally guaranteed loans to small businesses.
Importantly, these loans may be forgiven if borrowers maintain their payrolls during the crisis or restore their payrolls afterward.
The administration soon will release more details including the list of lenders offering loans under the program. In the meantime, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has issued this guide to help small businesses and self-employed individuals prepare to file for a loan.

You are invited to a
Littler Webinar from Texas Association of Business
: Practical Advice for Employers Facing Paid Leave and Compensation Issues During the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted today's workforce, creating numerous issues that must be quickly addressed by employers. Circumstances and legal guidance change on at least a daily basis, making it difficult for employers to stay abreast of the issues and maintain legal compliance. This webinar will assist employers in identifying key areas of concern related to paid leave and compensation, provide an update on the most recent legal obligations, and offer strategies for managing a workforce during the pandemic.

From the State Comptroller's Office:
"We understand that virtually all of our taxpayers are doing their best to remain in compliance and be responsible in submitting the taxes they collected from their customers. With that in mind, our agency is here to offer assistance to those businesses that are struggling to pay the full amount of sales taxes they collected in February."

Paycheck Protection Program
"The Paycheck Protection Program prioritizes millions of Americans employed by small businesses by authorizing up to $349 billion toward job retention and certain other expenses.
Small businesses and eligible nonprofit organizations, Veterans organizations, and Tribal businesses described in the Small Business Act, as well as individuals who are self-employed or are independent contractors, are eligible if they also meet program size standards."
