Welcome Back

I am looking forward to seeing everyone back for third trimester  on Tuesday. There is plenty happening this week, as you will see below.

If you have friends in Manhattan Beach or nearby who might like to hear more about our schools, please send on the invitation below to them for  Thursday evening's admission event in Manhattan Beach.
And now's the time to sign up for one of our great new summer programs. See that link below too.

10th grade parents and students will note their college planning evening  on Wednesday: an opportunity to put yourselves in the shoes of college admission officers to provide a great perspective on your college planning for the next two years.

LD Symposium and College Night
April 24|6:30 p.m.

Renaissance School is offering a college counseling evening that addresses how learning differences affect various aspects of application process and college life. Families will be provided with an in-depth explanation regarding college accommodations and learn how college admissions handles disability information.

In addition to key information regarding learning differences, admissions representatives from Lynn University, University of Denver, and University of La Verne will speak and answer questions.

This event is open to all Upper and Middle school families. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP with Jill Brammah or click the button below for more information. The deadline to RSVP is April 20.

10th Grade College Case Studies Night
April 11 | 6:30 p.m.

Every year, 10th grade students and their parents are invited to participate in a mock admissions evening known as Case Studies. Parents and students will receive three sample college admissions applications to review in advance.

 During
the Case Studies event, they meet in small groups with experienced admission officers who lead a discussion on what colleges look for in an applicant, as well as what colleges value. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn first-hand how they will be evaluated and begin thinking about the qualities and strengths they bring to the process and how best to prepare for the application process. A college fair concludes the evening, allowing students to benefit from one-on-one conversations with college reps.
