Summer Choir
EVERY SUNDAY IN JUNE AND JULY
Come and make a joyful noise with the Summer Choir during June and July. Adults, Youth and Children are welcome. Make it a family affair! We will be singing easy and familiar selections with a brief warm up/practice in the choir loft at 9:50  prior to the 10:30 service in June and 9:00 prior to the 9:30 service in July. Contact Kyle for more information - [email protected].

On Sundays in June there will be the regular
8 and 10:30 a.m. services.

On  Sundays in JULY
(July 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29)
there will be
One Service Only  at 9:30 a.m.

This will give us the opportunity to worship together as one body on those Sundays, and to meet and fellowship with those we may not see often during the rest of the church year.

A continental breakfast will be served at 9 a.m., and the Summer Family Choir will practice briefly at 9:00 a.m. also.

Two services will resume August 5.

WELCOMING THE STRANGER

UPDATE:
To the St. Matthew's Community:

The refugee family St. Matthew's is sponsoring has arrived! They are a mother and her three children from Pakistan. Zeb Un Nisa is 43. Her daughter Judith is 13, and her sons Aaron and Fnu are 9 and 7, respectively. That's about all we know at present.

The apartment in Stone Mountain was set up on Saturday, June 2nd (pictures soon!) Due to your generous response to the family's needs, their current needs have been met, and no further donations are needed for the time being. As other needs become known we will share that information with the parish. Thanks to all who provided furnishings and other needed items.

SOUTHEAST  GWINNETT COOP JUNE FOOD DRIVE

June is the month in which St. Matthew's focuses on collecting additional items for the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministries.

In addition to collecting our usual items of dried beans, jelly, and shampoo, the coop is asking for donations of canned pineapple. The pineapple is always in high demand and just seems to fly off the shelves.

The Outreach Committee will be handing out bags with attached food list after both services, so please fill bag and return to barrel outside of the Parish Hall.  All items will be promptly delivered to the Coop.

Thank you for supporting this vital ministry!

The Southeast Gwinnett Co-op has a critical need for volunteers. For more information on how

Be at peace.

Do not fear the changes of life, rather look to them with full hope as they arise. God, whose very own you are, will deliver you from out of them. He has kept you hitherto, and He will lead you safely through all things; and when you cannot stand it, God will bury you in His arms. Do not be afraid of what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting father who cares for you today will take care of you then and every day. He will either shield you from suffering, or will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.

-St. Francis de Sales
