Hobart Announces New Ventless Rack Conveyors
|
Hobart will be launching their new ventless CL44eN-VL and CLPS66eN-VL Rack Conveyor Dish Machines in Summer 2020.
Hobart’s unique heat pump design optimizes the transfer of residual heat and steam energy to the wash tank enabling significant energy savings, and Hobart’s heat pump design requires no additional cold water to cool the compressor. The result is a 30% reduction in energy use and a 50% or more savings in total water use, providing the lowest total cost of ownership without compromising machine performance. Features on the CL44eN-VL and CLPS66eN-VL include: a
utomatic delime notification based on water hardness; exclusive NSF rated pot/pan intelligent dwell; no hot water connection required; free factory startup.

WORKING TOGETHER IN A CRISIS
|
As March comes to an end many of us are dealing with a much different reality than the one we knew at the beginning of the month. We continue to see impacts to our business and personal lives, and at this point there is still no clear direction as to when this crisis will end.
Over the last month we have seen virtually every industry-related event and tradeshow postponed or cancelled. As many of you know, our own FCSI Conference has been postponed until August 24-26th and the National Restaurant Show was cancelled as of last week.
We may have lost the ability to connect face-to-face with industry friends and colleagues but our bonds and common interests remain. This was evident on the first FCSI fireside webinar that was held this past Wednesday. Over 50 FCSI consultants, allied members, and industry partners joined the webinar and took part in a free-form conversation revolving around the COVID-19 crisis. It was amazing to hear everyone’s personal experiences and the willingness to participate in open and frank conversations as to how this is impacting business and steps members are taking to adapt. It was also interesting to hear how individual members have transitioned to working from home and how our profession is adapting to a remote working situation. I left the webinar with a smile on my face knowing that as industry partners and friends, we are all willing to share what we can to help each other in such a difficult time.
We are planning another fireside webinar tomorrow (Wednesday, April 1) at 4:00pm Central with a Happy Hour theme so that we can continue our conversations and keep open lines of communication with each other as this situation evolves. Please be on the lookout for an e-mail invitation. I am hopeful you can join us raise a cocktail and enjoy what I am sure will be another lively conversation.

New chapter leaders are typically elected during the biennial conference. Since CAMP FCSI has been rescheduled for August 24-26, we will need to manage elections electronically for the following chapters:
Latin America
Lower Midwest
Northeast
Upper Midwest
Southwest, Southeast, and Pacific Northwest chapters have recently elected new leaders and will not need to hold another election this year.
We need you!
If you have been looking for ways to become more involved with the Society, now's the time! Or, if you know someone who would be a great leader for your region, nominate them and we will reach out to gauge their interest. Chapter leaders have two main responsibilities during their two-year term :
- organize and execute at least one event annually for your chapter - this can be as simple as a happy hour or as involved as an educational event or charitable fundraiser
- serve as a resource as needed for other members and industry peers in your region
To nominate yourself or other FCSI member,
please email
Penny
or call 309.808.2165 ext 3.
The deadline to submit nominations is April 15.
