Sunrise Emergency Management
Sunrise Fire Rescue Emergency Management Division is in constant contact with local and state partners on a daily basis to receive the most up-to-date information regarding the impact COVID 19 is having on our community.

Our first responders - Police and Fire - have the necessary resources to manage this current phase of the local impact on our community. They are also working with their same local and state partners to receive additional supplies.

We are responding to all emergencies as normal on a daily basis during this period of time.

In addition, first responders are working to ensure our vulnerable populations are given all the most up-to-date information to take the necessary precautions to limit their exposure to the virus. We have also made contact with specific assisted living facilities to work with them to further limit unnecessary exposure to anyone whom they may come in contact with from the outside.

FAMILIES OF FRONT LINE WORKERS ALSO SACRIFICING

As we go through this crisis, please think about the families of those who are on FRONT LINES.

Each day they worry when their loved ones leave the house – to serve as our first responders, or hospital workers or nursing home workers.

When our FRONT LINE workers come home, their lives and routines are altered.

These FRONT LINE workers are careful about when to hug their children and their normal home routines.

Some nurses and first responders are quarantining themselves when they get home in order to protect their families.

So they can go back to the FRONT LINES the next shift.

The sacrifice is NOT only when they are on the FRONT LINES ….
It is 24/7
