Oceanfront Clean Up
We've received many positive comments about the recent clean up of the encampment on the state owned oceanfront parcel adjacent to Oneo Bay.
Mahalo to Governor David Ige's West Hawaii Liaison Susan Kim for recognizing the issue and spearheading the clean up with the DLNR DOCARE officers.
Kokua Kailua
Plan to spend a tropical mid-winter Sunday afternoon at Kokua Kailua with local musicians, artists and vendors in Historic Kailua Village. On Sunday, February 17 from 1 to 6 pm Alii Drive is the place to be for a festive, pedestrian-only outdoor marketplace. Don't forget there's free Hawaiian entertainment at Hulihee Palace starting at 4 pm too. See you there!
Hawaiian Sunset Saturday
Celebrate Kona's famous sunset with live Hawaiian music and beautiful hula performed by Halau Ka'eaikahelelani on Saturday, February 23 at the Coconut Grove Marketplace from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
Bring a lawn chair or beach mat, but no coolers please.
The free event is presented by the Kailua Village Business Improvement District with support from Hawaii Tourism Authority.
