An Ode To Our Seniors and A Friend
|
|
-------
"As the news cycle continued to churn, the cancellation of the NCAA winter
-------
and spring championships seemed almost inevitable, but still shocking to
-------
read.
-------
On March 13, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Presidents Council
-------
determined it to be in the best interest of the health and safety of its
-------
students, faculty, staff and campus communities to indefinitely suspend all
-------
varsity athletically-related activities.
-------
That news brought the reality that there would likely be no Senior Days,
-------
postseason baseball at Ross Memorial Park, bus trips up and down Interstate
-------
79 or April and May championships to celebrate.
-------
The quick finality of the 2020 spring season was heartbreaking for our teams,
-------
especially our senior athletes, and coaches. However, it was also a
-------
continuation of a heart-shattering couple of weeks for our W&J community."
