Highlights of Presentation and Discussion Items


The following items were presented to the Board:
Finance Report -
As of February 28, 2019 the Board learned the system is at 78.69  percent for the budget year. The Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax revenues for February 2019 were up 4.42 percent from 2018 collections and down 18.86 percent from last month. A financial statement, investment reports, and bond summaries were also shared, as well as a detailed capital projects analysis. 

Criminal Justice Training Simulators- 
Valery Lowe, College and Career Development Director, and Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman presented the Board of Education information on a partnership with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office on the ability to leverage advanced technology around criminal justice training simulators inside of Alliance Academy for Innovation. This will be a Community Partnership.
 


 

Highlight of
Action Items
The following item was approved:

Adoption of Student Calendars 2019-2020/2020-2021 -

The Board approved by unanimous vote the Student Calendars for the next two school years.   Student calendar 2019-2020  and Student calendar 2020-2021.

Adoption of Employee Work Calendars - 

The Board approved by unanimous vote the Employee Work Calendars for the next two school years.  Employee calendar 2019-2020 and Employee calendar 2020-2021.
