Watsonville Wine, Beer and Art Walk
May 12, 2018

Join us for the first annual Wine, Beer and Art Walk on Saturday, May 12, 2018. This inaugural event is organized by the City of Watsonville and the Pajaro Valley Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, who will offer special tastings from many different local wineries, craft beer outlets, hard cider and non-alcoolic beverages.

PVA will have a display of our member's artwork. Please contact Judy Stabile at [email protected] if you would like to have your work represented during the event.

Deadline: Extended to April 30, 2017

Movable Murals is a joint project of PVA and the City of Watsonville, funded through the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County, which provides outdoor, semi-permanent hanging space for muralists and artists utilizing digital media and/or painting to create temporary installations. There are four mural opportunities that will be located at 250 Main Street, in downtown Watsonville. We are installing a hanging system that can be used, re-used, or moved. Selected artists or community groups will be provided 4' x 8' sheets of primed marine plywood upon which the painting, wheat pasting, or digital media will be applied. Completion of artwork will take place at artists' studios, or location of artists' choice,  and will not be created on-site . Completed panels will then be installed by the City of Watsonville. Your mural/artwork will be viewed in this location for approximately 6-12 months, at which time different artists/community groups will be offered the opportunity to create upon the same surface/plywood .

New Website!
Our new website is up and running! Many thanks go to Kim Tyler who originally spearheaded this project, Vicky Winters who designed the site, Hedwig Heerschop who worked on the daily updates and edits until the site was up; and to Norma Villaron who edited the Spanish translation. This has been a four-year process originally funded by the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County, as part of a Community Leadership Project grant. After you explore the website, let us know if you would like to see revisions or additions to any of our key interest areas.
