SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dear Lycée Community,

Welcome back! We shared this wonderful news on social media but want to express our excitement and appreciation again. Lycée formally received confirmation of French accreditation for grades 7, 8, and 9. We are the only school in Louisiana accredited for grade 9. Additionally, we were officially approved as a testing site for the Brevet des Collèges. Our students will test at our school - no more organized out-of-state trips to test for the French Middle School diploma.

Thank you to the many people who helped complete the application, this involved a lot of work procuring data and information, and participating in interviews with the inspector. We greatly appreciate all those who helped make this tremendous undertaking possible; when we work together, we grow and progress

Safety is our priority and it is important that we remain vigilant post Thanksgiving to reduce community spread. As you may know, we have added a dashboard to our COVID-19 page that indicates COVID-19 positive cases of students and staff at each campus, and district staff, those who work at both campuses; this banner is updated each week on Friday. Please refer to our COVID-19 Procedures and Operational Guidelines and the School COVID-19 Screening Decision tree for more health and safety practices information. Stay safe!

Sincerely,
Marina
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
DELF INFO SESSION FOR 5TH, 8TH, AND 9TH GRADE PARENTS
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3RD AT 5:00PM VIA GOOGLE MEET
Sophie Capmartin, Director of Academics, will present a session about the Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française (DELF). The DELF is  a highly valued language proficiency exam and diploma that certifies the French skills of foreign students.
Typically, 5th grade LFNO students take the DELF Prim A2 and 8th grade students take the DELF B1. Since the DELF B1 was cancelled last year due to COVID, we are offering our current 9th graders the opportunity to take the DELF B1. Additionally, if any students did not take the DELF Prim A2 or B1 (in 5th or 8th grade) and wish to take it this year, please feel free to attend the session and contact Sophie Capmartin, scapmartin@lfno.org.
The session will go over the exam content, the registration process, and address any questions you might have about DELF.
