Here's some words from the chapter's vice president Lakysha Laing, director, Customer Care, Cox Communications: "May 31st marked the 1-year Anniversary of the NAMIC Virginia Chapter's incorporation. It's been an amazing journey from starting with 10 members to now with 250+. Let's just say we've been busy...you name it, we did it. We have a dedicated Board, Vonya Alleyne, SHRM-CP (President), Lakysha Laing (Vice President), Kenneth Rand (Treasurer), Shinese Collins (Secretary) and Lakiesha Jones (Member-at-Large). Everything would not have been possible if not for our Committee Chairs and their teams Jessica O. Jones & Brock Everett (Programming Logistics & Content), Ashley Veal (Marketing & Social Media), Nakia Keith (Sponsorship & Fundraising) and Tanika Fagan (Membership & Recruiting). Our Advisory Board, JD Myers, MBA, Kimberly Voxland, Stephanie DeWald, Susan Wahl and Brennan Smith...Thank You for your support and keeping us on our toes and providing the guidance we need to be successful." Congratulations, NAMIC-Virginia!
